Just been doing some house cleaning on the site. Updated it with a fresh new layout and upgraded the blog to the latest version. Going to be adding a few more plug-ins to make the site a bit more interesting.

As this site is still a work in progress, I’d love to hear from any of you about what you would like to see on the site. I’m always open to feedback, and I want this to be an active site. Please feel free to leave any suggestions!

  • Thursday, Feb. 1st: Jazz Band @ UMHS 8th Grade Parent Night
  • Saturday, Feb 17th: Love is in Our Music Fundraiser.Mandatory for all students
  • Jazz Band and Choir will be performing. Concert band will be serving food and helping with the event. We also need parents for serving, chaperoning, donating items for the silent auction and many other things.
  • This is our big spring fundraiser!
  • Tuesday, Feb 20th: Vocal Auditions for “Anything Goes” 3-5pm
  • Wednesday, Feb. 21st: District Jazz Concert at UMHS. Jazz Band Performing. Call time : approx. 6:00pm
  • Tuesday, Feb. 27th: Choir Performance at Oak Ridge HS
  • Wednesday, Feb. 28th: Concert band performing at UMHS with local Junior High Bands. Call time: TBA
  • Saturday, March 3rd: Golden Empire CSUS (tentative)
  • Saturday, March 17th: Jazz and Java Fundraiser. Jazz Band performing Tentative.
  • Saturday April 14th: Golden Empire Band and Choral Festival. Concert Band and Choir Performing.
  • April 26/27, May2-5: “Anything Goes” performances
  • Tuesday, May 1st: Scholarship Night at UMHS. Choir Performing
  • Wednesday, May 16th: UMHS Music Department Concert
  • Graduation Performance. Mandatory for all UMHS Instrumental

    Itinerary

    12:00 am: Arrive, dressed with instrument @
    Colina Del Oro parking lot.
    694 Pleasant Valley Road

    12:00 am-12:45 pm: Parade Line-up

    1:00 pm: Parade begins

    2:00 pm (approx): Parade Ends Pick up your student @
    Lyons club
    Corner of Missouri Flat and Pleasant Valley Rd.

    If you need to put your instrument on the equipment truck, we will be loading the truck Friday at lunch. Your instrument will not be loaded for you.

    Take home your instrument Friday afternoon. I will not be going to the band room before the parade. You will be marching without it if you forget.

    Attire: Polo shirts, Khaki pants, black marching shoes, black socks

    This performance will be reflected in your grade. Participation is mandatory.
