Itinerary 11/1/2008
- Arrive @ School: Percussion: 6:00 am
- Load Bus: 6:30 am
- Arrive @ Lodi HS: 8:30 am
- Parade Check in: 9:00 am
- Formation area: 9:50 am
- Parade Competition Step-off: 10:10 am
- Percussion step-off: 10:20
- Jazz Band Warm up: 10:55
- Jazz Band Performance: 11:20
- Lunch: 11:00 am
- Awards: 1:30 (Only Drum major, Guard Capt., Perc. Captain and Jazz Rep will be attending awards)
- Dress in Uniforms: 1:45
- Warm-up w/ sections: 2:15
- Warm-up full band: 2:45
- Standing By: 3:15
- Ready Area: 3:30
- Field Performance: 3:45
- Awards: 7:00 pm. We are only allowed 1 person per unit on the field to accept awards. Leaders will change @ 10:00.
- Load Bus after awards
- Arrive Home @ 10:35 ish make arrangements for rides.
Change into Polos and Khakis after performance. We will all load the truck! Bring money to buy food for dinner at the competition (no one will be leaving the school to eat), sit on the home side to watch the competition, or buy “stuff”.
You are required to watch the other bands compete. Anyone found outside of the viewing/eating area will be penalized with the possibility of being removed from the event. All school rules apply.
Some things to think about…
- Do I have my instrument and all accessories (extra reeds woodwinds?)
- Is my instrument loaded on the bus/truck?
- Is my hat and uniform loaded on the truck?
- Colorguard… Do I have both performance uniforms and under armor?
- Did I bring money for dinner, entrance fee (for home side- away side viewing is free)?
- Did I bring my polo, khakis and extra socks/shoes?
- Did I bring a water bottle?
- No nail polish, make up (band) or jewelry!
- Did I bring clothes for under my uniform?
